- “Enquiry” means your submitted request for tutoring via this website or our forms.
- “Provider” means a UK tutoring company or agency that is an incorporated legal entity (e.g., a limited company or LLP) listed on our named partner list. Provider does not include individual tutors, sole traders or other natural persons.
- “Partner” means a Provider on our named partner list. Use of “partner” does not create a legal partnership, agency or joint venture between Tutor Network Limited and any Provider.

- “Tutoring Contract” means any agreement for tutoring between you and a Provider.
2A. Our contract with you (Introduction Service)
When you submit an Enquiry and accept these Terms, you enter into a contract with Tutor Network Limited solely for our Introduction Service. We provide the Introduction Service by assessing your brief, proposing a suitable match and introducing you to one matched Provider (a tutoring company or agency; an incorporated entity).
You choose Email and/or SMS as your contact method. You instruct us to share your Enquiry and contact details with one matched Provider from our named partner list so they can respond about this Enquiry via your chosen method. We do not supply tutoring.
You ask us to begin the Introduction Service immediately. You may withdraw your instruction any time before we share your details. Once we have made the introduction, the service is complete.
This sharing is done solely to perform our Introduction Service under our contract with you. It is not performed for, or to help fulfil, any contract between you and a Provider. We are not a party to any Tutoring Contract.
2. The service
When you submit an enquiry, you ask us to assess your request, propose a match and introduce you to a suitable UK tutoring provider (the “Provider”). You instruct us to share your enquiry and contact details with one matched Provider from our named partner list so they can respond about this enquiry via your chosen method (Email and/or SMS). We may instead send you an email introducing the company/agency and cc the Provider so they can reply in‑thread.
Contact method. The matched Provider will contact you directly via your chosen method (Email and/or SMS) to respond about this enquiry. We may alternatively send you an email introducing the Provider and cc you so they can reply in‑thread. We do not need to contact you for the introduction to be complete.
On your request, we may introduce an alternative Provider (for example, if the first is not a fit). Each introduction is limited to the purpose of responding to your enquiry.
3. Relationship with Providers; Tutoring Contract
- Providers are businesses. Each Provider is a tutoring company or agency. We do not introduce to individual tutors. Providers are corporate entities (Ltd/LLP); we do not partner with sole traders or natural persons.
- How Providers deliver. Providers may deliver services using their employees or self‑employed tutors engaged by them. We introduce you to the Provider, not to individual tutors; any allocation of a tutor is the Provider’s responsibility.
- Independent provider. Providers are independent of us.
- Your Tutoring Contract. Any contract for lessons (including price, schedule, cancellations and content) is between you and the Provider (the “Tutoring Contract”). We are not a party to the Tutoring Contract.
- No agency/authority. We do not act as agent for you or the Provider, and we have no authority to enter into or vary any Tutoring Contract on anyone’s behalf.
- No handling of funds. You pay the Provider directly. We do not hold client money.
- No endorsement/warranty. We don’t guarantee outcomes or endorse a particular Provider; you should make your own checks and decisions.
4. What we don’t do
- We do not employ Providers or supervise lessons.
- We do not independently verify qualifications, identity or DBS status. We require Providers to verify a current Enhanced DBS before any under‑18s work, but you should conduct your own checks and due diligence.
- We do not handle lesson payments; these are agreed directly between you and the Provider.
5. Fees and commissions
Our introductions are free for you to use. We may receive fees or commissions from Providers for leads or successful introductions. We never charge tutors/work‑seekers for introductions.
Payments for lessons. You contract and pay for any lessons as agreed with the Provider. Depending on the Provider’s model, you may pay a service/commission/platform fee to the Provider per lesson and pay the tutor separately. Confirm all charges with the Provider before booking. Providers are responsible for their own legal compliance (including UK rules on charging work‑seekers).
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information in the enquiry form and keep your contact details up to date.
- Be 18+ (or a parent/guardian submitting on behalf of a learner). Please don’t provide a child’s direct contact details.
- Decide whether to engage a Provider and agree the terms of tutoring (including fees, cancellations and lesson content) directly with the Provider.
- Carry out any checks you consider necessary (e.g., identity, DBS, references, safeguarding).
7. Electronic communications (PECR)
The Provider’s first email/SMS will be sent to respond to your enquiry following your instruction in the form (or our cc’d introduction). That message is a solicited communication. Any broader or ongoing marketing by a Provider requires their own lawful basis (usually consent). All emails/SMS must identify the sender and include a simple opt‑out (e.g., unsubscribe / “Reply STOP”). Providers must not rely on the ‘soft opt‑in’ for marketing to you because they did not collect your contact details directly; for any marketing beyond responding to this enquiry, they need their own consent.
8. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service (e.g., submit false enquiries, attempt to access others’ data, scrape, reverse engineer, or upload illegal or harmful content).
9. Intellectual property
All site content belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it only to submit an enquiry and evaluate Providers. No other rights are granted.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and conditions (express or implied) relating to the Service and introductions.
We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any Provider or for any tutoring outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed £100.
11. Data protection
Details of how we process personal data, including your rights, are set out in our Privacy Notice. By using the Service you acknowledge that we process your data to deliver the match and introduction and share your details with one matched Provider as described there.
12. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (if you are in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there).
